A Constant Line

The Snake Peoples believed in the Immortal Line.
An absolute being that simultaneously exists in every world and space-time.
A snake that exists as an unending, single line.
They worshipped this snake god.

The Golden King listened to their story with pleasure,
and beheaded all those people.
The King said,
"I thought they were THE Snake Peoples."

My King, it might be a metaphor.
